Plank Competition Rules
Starting Position:
Description: Participants start in a plank position, with their forearms and toes on the ground. The body should form a straight line from head to heels.
Rules: Ensure that the elbows are directly under the shoulders and the hands are clasped or placed shoulder-width apart.
Holding the Plank:
Description: Participants must maintain the plank position for as long as possible without breaking form.
Rules: The core must remain tight, and the back should not sag or arch. Any deviation from the straight line will result in disqualification.
Time Measurement:
Description: Time is recorded from the moment the participant assumes the plank position until they break form or touch the ground.
Rules: A judge or timer will monitor the participants to ensure compliance with the rules.
Breaking Form:
Description: Breaking form includes lowering the hips, raising the hips too high, or any part of the body touching the ground other than the forearms and toes.
Rules: Once form is broken, the participant is out of the competition.
Resting:
Description: No resting is allowed during the competition. If a participant needs to rest, they are disqualified.
Rules: Participants must maintain the plank position continuously.
